As usual, I was forgetting to write a blog. It's more unusual for me to remember these days! I've been working on the new website for most of this week and it'll probably be like that for the rest of the week too. We shouldn't really be too far off actually using it. It's only taken some 6 months or so. That's what being busy (and forgetful) does to you! We've been mainly trying to keep the site somewhat similar to what we've got here which was part of the hold up. I was trying to create a site from scratch and, basically, I'm like the dog in the above picture. So, rather than persist with smashing my head off a wall for the next while, I started from a better template and it's coming along nicely. Looking good anyway. Hopefully we'll have it done soon I also finished off work on the swimming mechanic in Reprieve. It was mostly done but I had to add in the ability to pick up boxes under water which brought it's own little problems. Above water, everything was working fine but under water the joint was sending Evelyn and the box some 13xe^13 units away from where she should be. So far Unity was giving warnings. Ended up having to change how the mechanic worked under water and now everything is now working well That's me until Sunday. Hopefully we'll either be finished with the site or close. Until then enjoy the rest of your week!
Time for a blog! First one of 2016, hopefully it's a good year for everyone It's been a fun week so far as I've been working on Boss Battles and will be for the rest of the week. Huzzah! I'm currently working on the mini-boss battle that takes place between the Fire Temple and the Air Temple, similar to the mini-boss battle before the Fire Temple. This one has been really fun to code due to how it plays out. It's nearly done, just some spawning to work on for the boss and then other smaller mechanics and such to implement but it should be done by tonight...hopefully. The rest of the week is more of the same for me. After the mini-boss battle, I move on to the next little boss battle inside the Air Temple which should be a similar amount of work as this one. Then finally for the rest of the week (if there's time), the main Boss in the Air Temple which will be a decent amount of work but I'm looking forward to it. I mean, how could I not be looking forward to coding something for him! Unusually this week, I actually completed a game! In fact I finished two, South Park: The Stick of Truth being the main one. An event as regular as Halley's Comet appearing... I've never really been a fan of South Park too much but I decided to buy SP:TSOT because it was cheap in the Steam Sale and it was supposedly good. It wasn't just good, it was amazing. So funny and enjoyable in every way. All I'll say though is damn you, Al Gore! Think I'll be giving it more than one playthrough. I'll be back on Sunday with Sunday Musings. Enjoy the rest of your Week!
