You are looking at the last man at Burn Bright Games standing at the GGJ. Pulling all nighters means something different to the others XD. So far I have won a tournement of samurai ninja and won a copy of Beyond 2 Souls. But loving the experience so far even if we are getting groggy and sleepy and dropping like flies. So far we have pushed our coding to new levels. We are hitting things a few weeks ago we could only dream off. Currently the time is ten to 8 am and finally i get to make art :D. Sprite sheets here I come. I better stop writing this blog as Daniel is snoring and the vibration is disrupting screens for miles around. Be sure to Tune in to the Pulse Twitch feed for live stream of all us Dublin Game jammers...... that sounds right or near enough :D Finally the Game jam is here. This will be our first ever Game jam together or solo, so this will be a treat. My head is awash with ideas and at the announcement of the theme later on today im pretty sure my head will explode. As for how our games are comign along they are starting to be polished up for the release of the demo's. Hopefully when we iron out a few last minute bugs Operation : Circ will be release next friday as a pre alpha demo to show you guys what we are up to and get crits back. For now a sneak peek at out dialogue GUI. Yes it is only a sneak peek :D but soon you will be able to play through the levels we have designed to test out the mechanics.
Wow that was a busy one. Not only getting back into the working groove but also having to have a fully made level for Thursday. But I love it :D . Seeing parts of a game that we took our time to create to come together to make an actual game is an amazing experience. But the biggest news has to be ............... Yup we got over 100 likes in under a week. I am flabbergasted :). Technically we have a fan base( I hope) and this feels amazing. As for work I have been learning to make fake gravity (mario galaxy style) in Unity. Might i say my mind is now racing with ideas for future and current games. It seems the more I learn the more I want to learn to give you guys the best game I can imagine.* As for this lazy Sunday I am thinking of making a little demo game as a side project. Test new mechanics see if i can bend what I already know into something amazing. But for now I must re-apply my Teemo hat and get back to work. * You do not want to know what I can imagine ha :D ReactionsA bonus of the reactions I had watching the Like counter climb :D!
We have set sail on a world of adventure and imagination. Scarily enough I am now one of the members at the helm of this ship. Thanks to support of friends and family my dream of being an indie developer for my self. An overwhelming amount of people have already followed us on social media platforms and I 4-One am super grateful and humbled. Living up to the dream is going to tough but well worth it but with the joint force of my good 2 colleagues and the support of everyone I know we will make it. ..................................... OK ................................... Mushy stuff out of the way! We are currently finishing off Operation to demo standard. Things are moving fast and I have almost finished the level that I have designed. By using things like moving platforms to create cover I have extended the normal gameplay we aimed to achieve. By using the fact you can see into other rooms I aim to show that the control panel for the exit next to you is above the players head and the aim is to loop around to open access to the next level elevator. To cut backtracking to a minimum I have also added a door that leads back to the start, but is only accessible when the level is complete. |
Adrian's SpaceThis will be the place for the cool kids. I will be posting up the things i am doing in the games we make. Maybe a few tutorials if you lovelies would like some. Archives
