Hey guys! Bit of a late one Dan was distracting me all day so not my fault. He belly dances like a goddess. Anyway bit of a frazzled blog here today had tons of stuff to do this week starting with an attempt at the background for the chain climb. We will be using a multi-layered backdrop for the chain climb giving a 3D parallax effect. I have been messing around painting textures that will pan across a large distance. This will give a more dynamic feel to the world over a Static skybox. This will be layered with 3d models to give a real feel of depth.
I have also been creating shaders for hurricanes. I am creating them in shader forge. This is an amazing little tool for creating shaders. I am looking into doing more advanced shaders soon but for now I am happy with panning textures that give the effect of movement on a static mesh. I have also been designing mean of travel vertically through the air temple. We have come up with a design that fits the temple perfectly and we have implemented a version of this movement on an enemy. My first suggestion was a giant spider but got shot down as they civilization we are basing the air temple off did not worship spiders :D. But it did look bad-ass :(. We have a bit of a surprise coming in the following weeks so be sure to stick around for Sunday musings for news on that as it is big news for us. Things really starting to move here at burn bright games many doors are opening for us. Bit of a short blog today as alot of stuff we up to now are bit on the down-low but lets just say good times. Until Sunday! Have Fun Well howdy and welcome to another mid week musing by me. This week has been eventful as we had to get everything working back up to full speed and maybe a bit more with our new setups. I have fully tested my set up and I am well chuffed. As promised I will now cover the specs of the new PC System Specs
This is a quite powerful machine as is but I have the scope to pump it up more in the future. I am looking to boost to 32GB ram and add another GPU to run cross fire. Any game or program i have tested so far has run like a hot knife through butter and no bother with over heating as the case is huge and cooled to the last. Although I do have a few niggles for anyone interested in a new Set up like this. The AMD R9 seems to have a major issue with the current drivers with running 2 screens on one card. Well it seems to only have that problem with the 2 DVI ports running at same time. Individually they worked fine together a no go. So luckily i went to my pc repair shop and got a free DVI to HDMI converter works like a treat. The only issue with it was that i had to take a hack saw to one of my DVI connectors as they put the HDMI way to close to the DVI port. But all is grand now. Enough Specs tell us what you are doing!Ok I hear ya! This week so far i had been re installing my programs so bit behind but got a good few more spears done for the weapon pack. The weapon pack is at the 90% done phase with only 12 more to do. So close and ready for the Asset store. |
Adrian's SpaceThis will be the place for the cool kids. I will be posting up the things i am doing in the games we make. Maybe a few tutorials if you lovelies would like some. Archives
