Hello and welcome to another personal blog by me. The guy on the right in the banner. I have been working on alot of new concepts for enemies and the way they will play. This ranges from a basic Air Hawk that flies over the player then dives on the players position, to a giant Aztec warrior statue with a ice shield that slams the shield into the ground and launches spears at the player forcing you to find a way around him to damage him. It has been fun! Also last night we did more white boxing and have some amazing open air area for the player to explore in the future. As with a lot of white boxing new mechanics in the area have to be implemented and tested to see how far we can stretch the gameplay. I really enjoy the whole white boxing experience as we have fun and giggles coming up with many new ideas to make the game as good as possible. But I am glad to say I am back in blender :D Modelling out fire temple stuff now creating a world from scratch and using real world reference is amazing feeling when you see it all come together. We are still a bit from that moment but every little helps! Other NewsKickStarter is coming to Ireland! no more shall Irish companies and ideas have to go around the system to get on kickstater. We look forward to see who will take this route in the Irish game scene and if it seems viable maybe even ourselves in a much later future but its great to have the option! Talking about money how could I do a blog post and not mention one of the biggest gaming news stories of the year it would be one might shame 4 me to wait much longer :D Notch and the lads over at mojang became the proud owners of 2.5 billion! (Yes that is a B not an M.) After selling up the rights to minecraft and mojang to Microsoft for that diamond figure. As of yet the offical news is that mojang will keep working on multi platform minecraft. But the future of scrolls is unknown as of yet. The major controversy is with the letter from notch announcing the news. Where he states he wants to continue doing LUDAM Dares and still make little games but(here is the part that people are finding iffy) he will cease and progression on any of these games if they gain traction. FinallyHyrule Warriors is out this Friday for people in europe and I for one am looking forward to playing it. I have not played a dynasty warrior game in years and cant wait to see what this mash up will be like.
I will don my Hyrulian scarf with pride when I pick up my copy! As for now I will say buh-bye as we have alot of work to do and better to do it then talk about it! Have a great week all and come back Sunday for my musings. But before i go I would appreciate it if you would give you opinion. Would it be good to start doing mini tutorials on the site comment here ,Facebook or even twitter if you would like to see how we do things Callooh! callay! its another blog from me today. Hope everyone is doing great. Things have been going great. We have now stepped things up a gear and are moving onto the path to temple 2 as you read this. the next temple is Air and we have been messing around with the element of wind creating wind forces and other breezy doings. I have learnt a new skill as well and have created our very own font for our in game language that will inscribe walls spells and ancient creatures will speak. This is a fully working language that can (and hopefully will ) be translated. I really can not wait to see if people can translate it :D as we have left clues around on how. Below is an example of an end level portal circle that will appear when you defeat a boss. The player stands in side the circle to be transported forward on the journey. More things! As I said above we are now moving on with the game and more and more levels are being added and it is filling out . With puzzles a plenty and action we feel like the game play is balancing out quite well. On other news we have now taken on a full time second project for the weekends and that is going SWIMMINGLY! Above is one of the enemies of the game that I created in pixel art and animated in unity. animating the eyes using different sprites for different frames then for the tentacles I rigged a line of tentacle parts in a row and rotated them by hand to get the effect. Along with this guys is his hazard if the player bumps into him he creates a blinding in cloud of doom! mwuahahahaha! Dan was kind enough to have the code already in place so he went straight into the game. There is a lot of art left to do and I love pixel art so call me a happy camper :D X,Y,Z Thanks for reading me! Thanks for taking time to read this far. If you did'nt and just scrolled down looking for more pictures how dare you XD but i cant blame you I do it as well TLDR :D. I am back in charge for this weeks Sunday Musings so be sure to swing on by on your day off chill and have a little read.
