The day of dub ludo is upon us and we at Burn Bright Games have a lot to show . In total it may be about 5 games depend on circumstances. This is a major point in our Time Line as a company it is our first real big public sowing of many titles and will be the starting point for our first fully fledged release. We are giddy as school girls getting all these demo's ready. From Rollo to Operation and a few surprises on the way it should be a great night. For those of you who don't know what dubLudo is I will explain. It is a get together of Irish game developers who are all passionate about this business. We all aim to make the best games possible for all you guys and events like this are a great chance to get feedback and advice before even going public. As for what the company has been up to. We have been working hard on reworking "The adventures of Rollo" from working on android to work on pc now with the use of xbox control. It is working super well thanks to the work of Daniel our local coding hero lately ha. I am not as good as our Michael at this blogging lark so i will leave you with a link to a very good video series on youtube that budding designers should watch. That is a terrible title to this post! Let me explain. While it appears we have gone a little quiet in here since the Global Game Jam there has been good reason – we are busy working on our next TWO demos, readying both for the upcoming DubLUDO on the 21st next, which we intend to attend. So in essence it has gone quiet in here, but then next week...BOOM*...two additional demos will be suddenly ready for posting on the site for you to play.
So the reality is that Burn Bright Games are currently suffering through the storm until the calm that will arrive next week once we complete and post up the demos and await some feedback. Speaking of feedback, many thanks to all those who have played the demo of Operation: Circumvolution. And to those who have given us feedback, it is much appreciated. Anyone else who has any feedback for us on the demo, please lay it on us! We will benefit from all we can get. As a recharge to the currently run down batteries Dan and Adrian finished their co-op efforts in Magika last night, taking on the final boss of a three year old game mainly because there is not a lot out at the moment that has our attention. But that is about change over the next few weeks with the upcoming releases of a new Donkey Kong; Thief 4; South Park; Titanfall; MGS 5; Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright and Dark Souls 2, to name just a few. So take it easy with those gaming thumbs over the next few days....it might be the only chance for calm before the storm. I love it when a post title comes together! * There are no explosions in the upcoming demos, but....... there are spike traps; waterfalls; snakes; shrubbery (ones that look nice, and not too expensive); rats of the high seas; ladders; possibly a cow?; a second cow if the first one works...maybe; torches; trees; negative images; other stuff and some additional things and extras. |
