Hey guys! Sorry about the late edition but along with the tragic happenings in Paris I have not had much time to get to this blog. First of all I would like to say our thoughts are with the victims and the families off victims at this sad time.
As any one who tracks the blogs Dan is curretnyl away on holiday for the week and will be back later next week. I was meant to head to Paris but that is not happening now.
But lets talk about what has been happening with us. I have been busy this week creating new meshes for the climb and going into the actual air temple next week. I have also been creating some new effects for attacks that made it as screen shot saturday this week.
Dan has been working on getting some of the later levels in place before he headed for poland and we are currently entering the final area's to be planned out. Things are coming together nicely and we will have to spend some time soon play testing as much as possible to make the area's so far as fun as possible.
Sorry about the short blog this week but my head aint really with it this weekend. As dan is not here this week there will only be one song. So Unitl next time I will leave you all with this.
Tis Sunday Musings time. There was no blog this week from me, mainly because I kept putting it off until it was too late for me to do it.
This week for me has been about finishing off Star Jump and getting it released. The main hold up has been the twitter integration and some slight bugs here and there which had to be fixed.
Initially, we had wanted to take a screenshot and upload it to twitter with a message but sadly that wasn't working for some reason despite the code seemingly being right. I've now replaced it with a simpler version for now until I can figure out what the issue is. As for the bugs, we had a bug where the game wouldn't let you continue after watching a rewarded advert. . The Star wouldn't turn back on and when it did the rigidbody stayed kinematic. I still have no idea what the actual issue was caused by but it's been fixed now. Another slight problem was with the platforms not spawning after the initial unbreakable platforms were traversed. The problem was that the platform spawner was still detecting a platform and wouldn't spawn a new one as a result. Bit bizarre considering there were no platforms in the "detected platforms" empty which meant there were none being detected. Again, fixed now but a bizarre problem nonetheless.
Adrian's been hard at it, meshing out the rest of the climb levels which are looking really nice. Just need to be textured and they'll look awesome He also meshed out the entrance to the Air Temple which was this week's Screenshot Saturday.
We also did some white-boxing this week. We've now finished the next Temple. The plan is to try and do an hours white-boxing a day in order to get things progressed enough that we can play through most of the game without the art side of things. Star Jump was also released on Android on Friday. It's a free game, give it a download here if you want to give it a look
