Yeah you are worth it! Thanks for coming back for another Sunday Musings and for any one who's first time this is welcome and enjoy. It's my week to be your captain through the weeks work here are Burn Bright Games and this was a strange week. As Christmas looms over us all with it bright lights and temptation of chilling we still trundled along and worked like little elves. I will start the tale by telling you what I did this week. For the start of the week I began concerting the next temple. The Temple of air this will be heavily themed after Aztec civilization. This theme will be perfect for the air temple as the Aztecs had a great mythology in aerial mythological creatures. Here is a early concept of a trap that will show up in this temple. The beaks will open and shoot darts that are lethal for players so not only will the player have enemies to deal with but the environment is now a threat in more ways. I have also created more assets for the fire temple and its all nearly finished. Only a few more things left to model and unwrap then I can move onto the next area. One of the things i created was the giant lava fountain that is in the fire temple. This towering structure will be in the back drop to one of the tallest levels we have created. It depicts the boss of this temple perched above a circular stone with mouth open. When finished lava will pour from his mouth into the channels below filling the fountain with flowing molten rock. A foreshadowing of the battle to come. During the last section of the week i have been concepting weapons for our upcoming weapon pack that we will be selling in January. This pack will be filled with many awesome fantasy weapons for characters from swords to spears. Deck your games out with our weapon pack or use them as very polished place holders. I can share a concept sheet but this contains only a tiny bit of the actual pack. More on this in the future but keep your eyes peeled for it on the Asset Store. Now for me to cover Dan's work for the week. Any one else remember when the FBI heavily censor documents to the level of only one word on a page and many black lines. I am in that position right now. I honestly wish i could but I can say its big for us and will lead to many new opportunities in the future. Apart form all the hush hush Dan has been doing a fair bit of paper work as well. Its not all work here in burn bright games some times we have to fill in forms -_-. Dan has also some how fit in time to do some work on these traps that we have concepted and has created the code for the wall dart already. Using Ray Tracing to detect the player and the distance from the wall before firing and reloading. The beat lives on! That time again. Only one more musings till christmas and I think next weeks one will be our favourite christmas tune but for now its business as usual and here is our choices this week. Mine is Blue Foundation with Eyes on Fire. Bit of a chilled dubstep vibe. Dan's choice this week is Leatherface with Can't help falling in love. Until the bells chime again. Another week has passed and more work has been done inside and outside of the office. We have so mush to do next year so we are taking the next few weeks more chilled and relaxed to spend time with family and loved ones. But we will keep working just at a lighter pace as the tires will hit the road hard in January.
Have a great time people and thanks a ton for reading. I would also like to thank Dan for taking the reigns and doing the blogs while my connections have been down. Hope you enjoy this weekend break Dan as you are in the blog seat next week ha. Welcome to another edition on Sunday Musings. Lets just get into it, shall we? Mmmmm Pie... As you may have seen in my blog during the week, I was having some great fun bug finding and fixing. After much running around and reading through scripts, I managed to get all the bugs sorted out and now things are working smoothly again. And that's basically how my week went. Lots of changing and fixing. Adrian made more progression this week. He continued working on the animations for the first Boss in the game. His animation set is coming along nicely now. He also created a template for our story boarding which will, hopefully, make things easier on that front. And finally, he did some concept art for Evelyn's mother which was our Screenshot Saturday this week: Oh and he also got a Raspberry Pi thingymadjig. That's all the information I have on that...I'm sure he'll tell us more when he's back Myoooosaq There's only so many headings I can come up with before have to resorting to doing terribly spelt ones... The week Adrian's gone with Cage The Elephant's "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked". Have to say, it's a good song. I've literally no idea who they are, mind you. I've gone with Aerials by System of a Down. Great song from a great Album Adrian's: Cage The Elephant - Ain't No Rest for the WickedSystem of a Down - AerialsAbandon Blog! Hopefully (I've begun praying to all the gods), Adrian's internet will be back this week and he'll be able to do his blog. Otherwise I may go insane. He's also in charge of the Musings next week.
Until then, have a good weekend! |
