Hello and welcome to the last Sunday Musings before Christmas! Only 4 days left! We didn't play Trine this week, so I'm not exactly sure where that titles come from. We should play it though, love that game...Erm, to the Musings! Deck the Halls with Boughs of PolysWe've been using the 2 weeks around Christmas as a chance to get different things done. Adrian's been working on a selection of fantasy swords which was our Screenshot Saturday. As of yet they remain untextured but they'll be textured over the coming days. He also drew up concepts for a Unity Christmas competition where you have to design and model a Christmas ornament which he'll be working on over the next week or so. I've continued work on the website backup, adding some new stuff into it. Like the social media icons being moved and some other things. We've not decided whether to implement any of the changes here yet but we'll see in the future. It's been slow, as HTML wouldn't be my favourite thing in the whole wide world. It's getting there though, slowly. I've also started working on some other prototypes of game ideas that we've had on our list for the past while. These are a long way off becoming games but it's always good to get some ground work done. I've also to work on a Game design Doc for one of our other games which I'll be doing over the next few days Merry Gabemas! It's Steam Sale time! And Uncle Gabe has provided us with yet another bounty of goodness. So far I've only bought Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Defy Gravity. Adrian's bought also bought Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, as well as Final Fantasy VII, Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. It's early days yet, we've got our eyes on Battlefield Bad Company 2, one of the best FPS's we've ever played. And we've got our eyes on some other games too like This War of Mine, Valiant Hearts, Back to Bed, Shovel Knight, Transistor, The Forest and Gauntlet. It's going to be an expensive one! This week we went all old school...well old for us. We played some Risk of Rain. Unfortunately, it wasn't for very long but it was awesome. We also played some Team Fortress 2, as usual. But the new game that we played this week was Sniper Elite V2, which was actually awesome in Co-Op, apart from the fact my teammate decided to try shoot enemies from miles away with a handgun. As you can imagine it didn't go particularly well. But once we got the hang of it, we both loved it Merry JinglesSeeing as it's Christmas and I couldn't pick just one Christmas song (I could pick 20+), we've selected 2 songs this week. So this week, I've gone with a song from my favourite christmas film, Muppet Christmas Carol, Thankful Heart. Oh, how I love that song. I've also gone with The Season's Upon Us by Dropkick Murphys. Really good song Adrian's gone with a classic, Driving Home for Christmas by Chris Rea. Lovely song. He's also gone with Baby, it's Cold Outside by Tom Jones and Cerys Matthews. Completely forgot about this song, never really hear it anymore. Dan's: Muppets & Michael Caine - Thankful HeartDan's 2nd: Dropkick Murphys - The Season's Upon UsAdrian's: Chris Rea - Driving Home for ChristmasAdrian's 2nd: Tom Jones & Cerys Matthews - Baby It's Cold OutsideMerry Christmas! That's our lot for this week's Sunday Musings. Adrian will be back with his blog on Wednesday and, of course, Sunday Musings next week. Join us then!
