Yet another Sunday sneaks up and gives us an atomic wedgie of epic proportions. Now that we've recovered, it's time for Sunday Musings It's been a week of fixing and breaking, blaming engines and then fixing here this week. But we got stuff done dammit! "It's gone rogue, I tell ya!"Besides Unity being a loose cannon, we did actually get some stuff done. So what did we do then? Well, Adrian did a lot of modelling and unwrapping this week. He modelled the cauldron platform which was the focus of Screenshot Saturday this week. If you didn't see it, here it is here in all it's it cauldronee goodness He also modelled and unwrapped the chains in the game which are meant to be located beside the machines in the fire temple. He also designed the first proper boss battle which we should be working on in the coming weeks and hopefully have ready in some guise soon enough. I on the other hand was doing most of the breaking, fixing, blaming and then fixing this week. We've been having trouble with one of our enemies over the past week, The Figer, to be specific, which meant it was removed completely from the DubLudo demo. Between ignoring collision detection to falling through anything marked as the ground layer, he's been a handful. This is actually an engine issue, although we're unsure why the problem only affects the Figer. One of the other main problems was the EXP rock, which I mentioned in my blog this week. Mixing up the words "other" and "this" is an impressive feat. I've managed to do it since too. Watch All the Hammers! With our list of Co-Op games depleting like the percentage of good episodes of The Simpsons, we decided to go back to an old favourite. By which I mean Hammerwatch. We decided to get one of the expansions from the Steam Workshop, having tried a few of the others in the past week. We went with GreyFall, mainly because it's the highest rated expansion for Hammerwatch and bloody hell, it's awesome. It's still a work in progress at the moment and we managed to finish the section of it. They've even added in some mechanics and changed some of the sprites which makes everything feel nice and fresh. Can't wait to play more of it. Let Us Play You the Music of Our PeopleAnd so, inevitably, we come to the music section of Sunday Musings. And my pick was never in doubt once I heard the song. I'd say I've listened to it about 20 or 30 times in the past few days (probably more before this post is done) and I'm still not bored of it! My pick for this week, is Dodger Leigh's "Guild Ho". It's so, so catchy. Adrian's has decided to get in touch with his feelings and gone for The Feeling's "Fill My Little World". I'm sorry for that joke. So, so sorry. Apparently everyone knows this song, I don't think I ever had. Must have been in a coma during the 90's, I don't remember though Dan's: Dodger Leigh - Guild HoAdrian's: The Feeling - Fill My Little WorldBefore I Overstay my Welcome......I'll leave it there.
Don't forget the usual craic this week. During the week, Adrian will be doing his personal blog. Then on Saturday we've got the screenshot and then back here for Sunday Musings again. Who knows you might get a vine or two. Come give us a like on Facebook or a follow on Twitter. You know you want to! Comments are closed.
