Hey all ! Looks like its time for another Sunday musings. What a week it has been with prepping for dubludo and the event itself. To start off the week we got the game into Demo mode showing off the first few random levels and the Fire temple. The temple took more than a few souls. But Everyone who did play reprieve gave great reviews and said its coming along great. Dan was the man in charge of putting the Demo together making sure all the scene changes worked perfectly and boy did they. We have a full metroid-vania style exploration in temples now. During Dubludo we met some amazing people and some amazing games. The main talker at dubLudo was Ben Prunty the audio designer for FTL and now working with BitSmithGames. Ben told everyone how he got started and gave some inspiring talk for up coming game audio designers. Ben also had a chance to have a game of Reprieve. He loved it and said he cannot wait to see more of it in the future. The other famous face that popped up in dubLudo was Brenda Ramero who was also kind enough to take time to chat to us and play Reprieve also giving positive feedback. These plus all the other positive reviews has giving a confidence boost like no end. We also got a chance to play other's games as I said above. We loved our friend Emile's game as the minimalist style and good puzzle solving made it a game we loved. The controls were responsive and overall was a great game about a space whaler ! Sorry about the blurred pic below but thats his game with Dan playing it Another game we fell in love with is Deep Space Viking. A great little four player battle mode of 4 space ships. Players must swing mighty Axes of doom around there ships to destroy each other. We had more than a few manic goes on this game. The last update for the week was we have started work on different HUD for in game on Reprieve. We have gone through alot of rough version to see if what fits. We have decided on a design that not only shows what Powers are selected for each hand but the health mana and stamina. We have also come up with a very discreet way of showing the amount of exp collected by the player as a thin narrow bar a few pixels thick on the bottom of the screen. This bar will fill as the player destroys enemies, bosses and secret areas. Tune TimeDan's selection for the week is Flogging Molly- Son never shines Adrian's Turn now it is Galvanised by The Chemical Brothers I bid you a fond farewell until next time!Until next time :D hope you all have a great week, we will be busy little bee's still and may have another announcement soon enough fingers crossed .
